(Ugly) Christmas Sweater Party at the Hennings!

Now some of these sweaters that are you about to see are actually cute, but as for me a Kirk in our nasty 80's sweater get-ups we made the "ugly" in sweater party come true! It was a fun night of yummy homemade soup, wassail, Christmas songs and white elephant exchanges. Kirk and I both managed to bring home less than Blockbuster sell-out dvds, while others were lucky enough to take home things like Roman candles, doo-rags and jars of pickles!
We had a good time and a big shout out to Dave and Stephanie and Jon and Jill for their wonderful party planning talent!
Some of the Christmas posse: Jon and Jill, Britt and Joe, me and Kirk and Steph down on the bottom
Whip cream mustaches from the hot chocolate:)
Cute enough for a Christmas card!

Now that my whole family is in town and we have stuff planned every second of the day, I am not sure when I will be blogging next. We take off for Cabo the day after Christmas for a week so I can hopefully get some color on my pasty white skin! Kirk and I didn't make Christmas cards this year, so we wanted to wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS with love and peace and lots of fun for the holidays! We love you all!! XOXOXO

2 Years Down, and Eternity to go!

Kirk and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary on Tuesday. I love anniversaries because they are a chance for you to reflect on the year and focus on each other. Kirk and I love each other so much and realize how great life is. It is nice to know that one day a year is dedicated to celebrating "us." Marriage is so sacred and I love being married to my best friend! I am the luckiest girl in the world because 2 years ago I walked down the isle and saw Kirk at the end of it and knew I was making the best choice of my entire life. Now that we are sealed I get him forever and ever!

This sort of behavior really has to stop..

The other day, I had-
This for breakfast:
Followed by this for lunch:
I love the holidays and all, but my level of self discipline and sweet indulgence really are not compatible with each other. While I love the fact that I have been teaching everyday for the last month or so, teachers are really bad influences when it comes to my diet.
Kirk and I have already decided we are going back on Body for Life when these stinkin' holidays are over! (Just kidding, they really aren't stinkin', but the calories need to go!)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone was able to spend a lot of good time with family and are still able to fit into your pants! Tee hee! I am feeling the affects from a very bountiful Thanksgiving feast! I have been making sure to work out everyday since we've been back to make-up for the calorie overload.
For the third Thanksgiving in a row, we were able to go up and visit Kirk's family. We miss them and love them so much. I wish they didn't live in Northern California, but always look forward to visiting them in the beautiful country where they live.
Kirk attending to his Thanksgiving "duties" while at his parents. I really like that he wore that pink apron throughout this chores- it's so becoming on him.
One of the cutest kids you will ever see, our nephew Jett striking a pose during a family photo shoot. I love this little boy and how much he loves to cuddle!
Sami, David and Peanut. I am still in the works for figuring out a way to make sure they move closer to us. We love you guys!
Some of our nieces paddling around in the lake behind Kirk's parents' house. Not a bad backyard, huh??
Happy Thanksgiving to all and we are very grateful for wonderful friends and family!
Love, Kirk and Chelsea

Trav meets Hobbs!

Now for a quick shout out to my little brother (who doesn't blog and probably won't ever read this). I love you Travie! Travis is almost done with school out at UH and is a total stud. He is going to be a doctor and is off to Medical School soon.
With the recession and all, flights to Hawaii dropped so low that my parents were able to fly Trav home for Thanksgiving. It was fun getting to hang out with him, and he got to meet Hobbs!
These two boys were instant buddies!

Good luck with finals Trav, and we'll see you in a couple of weeks for Christmas!!

Vegas with my Family!

Due to a much anticipated, long Thanksgiving break, I was able to have TWO fun vacations! First, we ventured to the beautiful city of lights for a totally tourist experience. Kirk was unable to go because of work (love that man for his hard work), so I went with mom and dad and little sis, Brooke. We had a blast! My mom, being the awesome bargain shopper she is was able to score a SWEET suite at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay. Oh my was it nice. We had a great time eating out, shopping, playing around the hotel, spending quality time with the family and going out to shows. My family rocks and I just love them!
A somewhat artsy shot taken from our room at Mandalay Bay. And no, it's not with my nice camera. I am bad, I know! I need to take that thing with me more but it's just so big and nice that I sometimes get worried about breaking it!
My beautiful little sister in our awesome, marble and granite clad bathroom:)

My sister, mom and me at Town Square. This place kinda reminds me of the Spectrum in Irvine.
All of us about to go see Mama Mia! The show was great! I loved every second of it. It'll be retiring in a couple of weeks so if anyone wants to go see it- get on it!!
Mama Mia was so fun:)

Introducing.......Hobbs!!!

I'd like to introduce the newest member to the Weber/Schilling family:
Hobbs Wookie Schilling!!!
Born June 5, 2008 weighing in at 10 lbs...
The two boys
He sometimes looks sad, but I assure you, he is the happiest lil' guy ever!
This is Hobbs helping me with my Scentsy orders:)

We love this little boy and have already fallen in love with him. We got him this last week, but it was challenging trying to decide on a name for him (yeah, he was "baby boy" for about 3 days). Deciding on the perfect name took the input from many people, and I want to thank those that helped us decide on Hobbs. The name fits him. Kirk even loves Hobbs, it's great! He has the sweetest personality of anything you have ever met; he loves to be held and follows you wherever you go. He doesn't bark or chew on things, and gets along great with my parents' dog Kloe.
Hobbs fills the void that losing Moo created and I am so amazed at how instantly I fell in love with this dog. He brings us (ok, mostly me) so much joy and makes me laugh constantly. He isn't the most athletic or coordinated dog, but we love him just the same. More on the lazy side this little boy is going to be the perfect addition to our family for many, many, many more years to come:)

Thanks Julie!!

My ever talented girlfriend Julie was able to do a photo shoot with Kirk and me down in Old Town San Juan, and the pictures turned out awesome! Despite the fact that taking pictures is low down on Kirk's favorite things to do list, we had a great time and Julie was awesome at creating fun and creative shots of us. Julie is trying to get her portfolio started and would love to take pictures of you or your family! Whether it be couple shots, pregnancy photos or family pictures in time for the holidays, she is so fun and easy to work with and obviously, very talented!

Here's her info and feel free to give her a call to book a shooting!

Giddy UP!

Saturday was our ward Chili Cook-off and Hoe Down Activity, and let me tell you! Good times were had by all! We were all able to get together for some chili and cornbread, western singing and line dancing. I was able to recruit my parents to come since we went with them to their chili cook-off last week.
Kirk even got up and line danced with me- it was hilarious. I'm on the activities committee and felt obligated to participate, and sweet Kirk decided to join me.
To top off the evening, I managed to win "best cowgirl" of the night, which I somewhat expected with all of my roping and ranch-living experience ;) I took home not one, but two western movies that we are so excited to watch!
Guess we got to dress up for Halloween after all this year! Hope you guys all had a great Halloween yourself!

Pumpkin Carving Time!

I love Halloween! I love the King family! I love carving pumpkins with awesome friends and a super fun family! A big shout out to the Kings for inviting us for a fabulous night of delicious food, pumpkins, tricks and treats and even ghost stories to finish off the night!
The gang!
Geniuses at work deciding on the artwork for the night

Can I just say how much I love Will and Sara and the fact that Will put on this spooktacular Halloween vest just for the night?! Kirk's skills totally whooped mine. He went for a challenging skeleton while I opted for what seemed to be an easier pirate to carve.Chris' painted pumpkin

Wacky Weather

I just want to clarify- it's fall right? Well, it didn't feel like it today when my car said 102 degrees.. 102 degrees at the end of October!! Argh! I so DESPERATELY want to wear cute fall clothes but days like today totally sabotage my wardrobe. Instead of wearing jeans I was wishing I was in a summer dress... or a bikini... not like I have any though...

The Beachfire Bride

I think a huge part of finding happiness is liking (or loving) the people you work with. Work is actually not work when paired with fun people that you get along with and love. I love these girls. I call them my "Beachfire Babes" and I have worked with them for so many years (on and off) that they are all like sisters!
Stacy got married this last weekend at the Villa in San Juan and it was absolutely beautiful!!! I wish I took more pictures but at the moment I was so in awe with everything that I forgot to snap some photos. The ceremony was perfect. The location beautiful. Stacy was breathtaking, and I was in love with her dress and veil. Her flowers, bridesmaids, food, Sprinkles cupcakes were all done to the tee!
What a fun time seeing her on her special day!
Whether we are there now or not, these are the Beachfire girls: Dawn, Nicole, me, Kelly, Jen, Stacy, Brittany and Jenni:)
Two of my favorites! Kelly and Stacy! Congrats again!

A word about "Rock Band"

I LOVE IT. I now understand what all this hype is about. This could very well be the best possible way to waste a few (or many) hours in your day. Last night Kelly and Jason came down with theirs and we rocked the night away. I'm not sure if our neighbors appreciated the fine music we were creating, but hey- when you have these creative juices flowing you can't hide that sort of talent!

Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays!

It seems as though there are many birthdays to celebrate these days! Maybe it's the fact that New Year's Eve falls 9 months prior to this month. hmm...;) Either way, it has been fun to celebrate friendships both old and new! Here are some pics to wrap up what we've been doing the last couple of weeks!
Here are the beautiful Julie and Evan. Evan celebrated his birthday this weekend and we had the chance to do Benihana's and bowling with them. So FUN! Even if I do totally stink at bowling. Happy Birthday Evan!
The four of us enjoying dinner in Newport. We were having so much fun catching up, that we didn't sit with our other halves- the seat placement is a little off, but sometimes the boys need to hang out with each other as much as the girls.
After dinner, we ventured to Irvine Lanes for an intense game of bowling. Evan I think took the cake (which seemed appropriate on his birthday and all). The boys are seriously good at bowling and Julie and I have so many other talents that we just couldn't be good at bowling also, it wouldn't be fair;) I guess we need to take some notes on Evan's excellent form in bowling to excel like he does.
The segment of the night that we called "creative execution." Can you believe that Julie actually scored a strike in this interesting pose?
Kirk is so good at bowling that he started to bowl with his feet for a handicap. Didn't matter, he still did awesome!

Another birthday worth noting: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGHAN!!! Meghan is not only my ever talented hair dresser, but a long time friend! Gosh, we must have been going to each other's birthday parties since we were about 8 or so? Here's the group for Meghan's birthday dinner:
Liz, Meg, Brooke, me and Rachel

And another Birthday shout out to JENNI!! Happy birthday Victor! Another long time buddy, here's a group that has been friends since pre-training bra days!
AND...Happy 1st birthday Miss Alana Mishler!!!! Alana is ONE now and is going to be having a little brother here within the next couple of months! Here is the happy family:
Tiffany, Jamie and Alana at Hole in the Fence
What's a birthday party without frosting all over your face! Sweet little thing actually hated getting dirty and wanted so desperately to be wiped off.
All of Alana's surrogate aunties at the birthday event!
Thanks to everyone for a good time! P-A-R-T-Y: Cuz we got to!:)
