Things I love about being Pregnant..

  • Don't have to worry about sucking in my tummy after eating too much.
  • Feeling justified in satisfying those "pregnancy cravings"
  • If I skip a few days at the gym I don't feel like it's the end of the world
  • Getting back rubs and foot massages from my sweet and amazing husband
  • The sweet treatment from store clerks, people at work, church-you name it!
  • When people rub my belly (I understand that a lot of people are bothered by this, but baby girl and mom love the extra attention:)
  • Others asking me about the baby. I love talking about her, like all the time!
  • Feeling her move so much! She's in her active stage right now!
  • Getting to see my belly grow and knowing the updates of her growth too.
  • My ever changing body. For some reason, I don't mind it and seems like a miracle to me.
  • My belly button is much easier to clean now
  • All the adorable girl stuff I see that I usually resist in buying
  • My skin has cleared up!
  • My larger chest size:)
  • My hair is shiny and I don't have much hair on my legs and arms.. strange
A few things I could do without..
  • My aching back! How do you girls do it?!
  • The dark line forming down my tummy. Now why do we get those again?
  • The round ligament pains
  • The anxiety of this baby coming out of me. somehow. yikes...

6 Months! (aka 24 weeks)

Here I am in all my glory! 24 weeks and I love being pregnant! I feel great and love my growing girl! Only thing is that people don't realize that you are pregnant for more than 9 months. It's more like a 10 month process. I love food these days and things will disappear if you leave them in front of me. It's okay though because doc says everything is going smoothly and I'm doing fine.
Let's see, aside from being pregnant there are other updates to share: Brooke has turned in her mission papers and now we are all on pins and needles to find out where she is going!! We hope it's Australia like Trav that way we'll have an extra reason to go out there and visit them when they're done. She is such a good girl. I am amazed at how good my siblings are. I love them.
Sami and Dave, Bently and Kamryn came to visit this last week and we had a blast with them! I really hope that once they sell their home up north they will move down here. That would be too much fun. Hobbs is depressed now that Bentley is gone and he has no one to play with. I loved having those two babies in the house and it was such great insight into what being a parent will be like! We sure are excited!
Here is our adorable nephew Bentley:) They don't get much funner or cuter than this.
We had fun going to the beach with them, the Spectrum, up to Laguna Beach and lots of yummy dinners and nights with "auntie Freda and uncle Cal." Thanks so much for coming you guys!

I'm reminded of the movie "Lady and the Tramp"

Now if you didn't have younger siblings and/or babysit for younger kids you probably would not be familiar with some of the greatest Disney movies of all time. This scene reminds me of when Lady is trying to get Darling's attention because she is knitting something for the new baby she's expecting and Lady just isn't getting the attention that she needs. The result: mischief making and a little wap on the bottom.
Poor Hobbs, is he already lashing out from my attention being averted to other things? I still give him my cuddle time in the mornings and walks every day. It's like he knows somethings up.
And if this doesn't look bad, you can't see that the yarn wraps around the kitchen, through his food and water bowl and is tangled in some of his toys. Perhaps this is just a nice glimpse of what we will get to pick up after in a couple months:)
Thanks for the practice Hobbs, I don't know what we'd do without you.

They say it's your birthday!!!

This handsome man pictured above turned 31 this last month and his wife is just now posting pictures (oops). But I have to dedicate a post to this fabulous man that never ceases to amaze and impress me. He is now 31 and has so much to show for himself! Way to go babe, so happy for February 18th!
Here are the ladies that came out for a fun birthday dinner of pizza and chocolate cake. Love these girls!
And Kirk loves these guys! What a good group of men that came out that are kind, honest and hard working. Kirk is doing an amazing job with a construction company in a tough economy.
The truth is that Kirk is one of a kind. He manages to work hard and be positive. I love him and really look up to him in so many ways. He still is happy and goofy and fun:)
Thanks everyone for coming to celebrate Kirk's special day and we look forward to many more to come!
Happy birthday babe, you are really loved!
XOXOXO

My 1 pounder at 22 weeks!

I have a sweet husband who tells me I look cute with this growing belly:) The last week has REALLY gotten the baby moving! Now Kirk can even feel her kicking at night and it's so exciting! We were at a baptism the other night and I had my hands across my belly. She kicked me so hard that it actually startled me! It was great. She's weighing in at 1 pound but I have gained far more than that so far... uh oh.
I feel great and we have been busy! Kirk is doing awesome with his company and providing for our little family and I have been keeping myself very busy with real estate! I love it!
Now all we need is to set aside some time for a babymoon:)
